Reedsburg Historical Society and Pioneer Village

The Reedsburg Area Historical Society has been around for over 50 years with the main goals of preserving, interpreting and living out the history of our community.  

The Reedsburg Area Historical Society begun in 1965 and officially chartered on February 4, 1966, the Pioneer Village and museums of the Reedsburg Historical Society sit on 52 acres of pine forest. 

You are encouraged to stop by for a visit, and to join us in preserving Reedsburg's past.  Below you will find information about joining the society, donations and other annual events. 

We are open Memorial Day until September, weather permitting, on Saturdays 11am-4pm. The cost is $5 per person donation.

Annual Events

Our famous Memorial Day weekend Chicken BBQ!  Held on Sunday the Knights of Columbus bring their skills to help us feast!  Join us for tasty chicken, potatoes, beans, applesauce, and bread... oh and the pies!

Heritage Day is held on the third Saturday of September in conjunction with the Old Settlers organization. We wrap up the season with demonstrations, displays, food, crafts, and more! Join us, it is always a lot of good old fashioned fun.

In 2020, we have and Prisoner of War exhibit talking about POW camps that were located around the United States. The Exhibit focuses in on Camps throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. If you are part of an organization and are interested in hosting the exhibit please contact us in the form below.
