3. Oetzman-koenig Cabin
German immigrants built this two story cabin in nearby Westfield Township in 1876 and moved to the village in 1976. The family raised seven children here. They enjoyed more living space than some families, with an open room upstairs for the children, a bedroom downstairs for parents, and a work room for kitchen tasks. Plaster walls and sawn floor boards made it a comfortable, upscale home. A rare wooden spring bed is on exhibit and a handmade wedding dress and shadow box is displayed in the bedroom.
